Is there a word or phrase for that sense of annoyance and stress at the failure of your own brain that occurs when the thing that you were thinking of or intending to do mere seconds before slips from your mind and you're faced with the stark and humorous realization that you have no idea why you just walked into a room to do something and now you're just standing there like a moron desperately seeking your purpose? I feel like if ennui is a word then that feeling should have a word too.

The forgetting is the doorway effect, not sure about the annoyance element.

Linguists will be deconstructing that sentence for centuries to come.
I was saying that the doorway effect is named but the annoyance isn't, to my knowledge. |

You know if I have a cringy elph bit of music poetry that holds me beyond any of your words can save its Townes Van Zandt's dead eyed sorrow. None of you can convince me this isn't the end of my soul and I'm not even interested in your arguments cause I know they're all desperate and hollow.

^ I dig a lot of soft rock for similar reasons. It just speaks to the soul.
