Nah I mean I get that and I don't think tattoos have to be some grand body design, but unless some kind of "good taste" is involved to link whatever tattoos somebody is getting it can be an ugly mess. Or at the very least be very boring and defeat the purpose of turning your skin into art in the first place.
TBH I think black people have an easier time of it. They have darker skin that reduces the amount of color available to them and makes tattoos less visible and less viable for someone looking for attention, so their tattoos tend to be more thought out and restrained. They have plenty of ****ty tattoos but if they get a bad tattoo they look less like an attention-seeking idiot for it.
I cringe just as much over their choices and rationalizations but at least the end result doesn't make me roll my eyes nearly as much. Black people simply can't get a full-sleeve tattoo of an octopus fighting the Power Rangers.
