Version 100 of the MegaZeux game I'm working on. I decided to record a short gameplay test where I start from the very beginning of the game. I die on purpose on the first floor of a dungeon area to end the demo. There are a lot more screens in the game than shown here, but I also still need to make a lot more before it's done.
Cybil: version 100 - gameplay test (MegaZeux game project) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwu7wFBl6kI Since it's a work in progress, of course there's various unfinished things on some boards, some test functions and some stuff that probably needs a bit of polish. As far as I know, the game is pretty bug free now, at least. |
I'm taking a look at the story for the game (will be quite minimal) and I need two women's names. The main character is named Cybil, but there's also her sister and the evil witch (the "final boss" and villain of the game). Since the character of Cybil has existed in earlier versions of this game and in sketches and stuff for many, many years, I'm not sure where I got it from anymore, but I'm 70% certain that I got the name from Cybil Bennett, the cop lady in Silent Hill on the Playstation 1.
I really want to avoid "fantasy novel" sounding names, so I'm looking at real world names for inspiration. Name ideas... -For the sister... Mareike Noted this one a long time ago. I like the sound of it and I'll probably settle on this name for the sister. But I might go with another one if I get a good idea. Cybil is a British name, so maybe I should name her sister the same way. Mareike is mostly a German name, I think. -For the evil witch... I needed some ideas, so I found a Wikipedia list over women's names from Medieval Germany, just to find something interesting sounding. I think one of these would work well: Richeza, Hedwig, Gisela, Ingeborg, Heilika, Salomea, Eupraxia, Wulfhilde |

My vote is on Wulfhilde btw |
I second Wulfhilde
Only because it reminds me of Hildur Odegard from Fortitude </3 |

Brünnhilde (for the witch) Isolde (for either the witch or the sister) I'd have to go with an alternate spelling of Brünnhilde, since my game can't do an umlaut letter. Quote:
My favorites so far: Wulfhilde (badass), Salomea (sounds nice and has a sort of mysterious air about it) |
Thirding Wulfhilde.

I think I'm gonna have to go with the most popular name. Wulfhilde it is!
I still like Salomea, but I can just use it for a minor character somewhere instead. |
Game looks good Mic, any idea on when it might be finished?

So maybe something like a couple months if I'm getting really, really busy - more if not... Today is the first time I've worked seriously on the game since late November. But I tend to get a lot done in a short amount of time when I do sit down and really focus. |
