for a sec

So I'm watching " Sleepy Hollow" (great show by the way) the only thing is, the lead female actress Nicole Beharie. I really don't understand her casting she's not leading lady material, she's short, her looks are average & her acting capabilities are ok at best, I just don't get it. This is her:

My friend's name is Shohn (ghetto spelling of Sean), and I think he should change his last name to Freud. Just say it out loud and it will all make sense.
