Who knows who they are when theyre 20? Most people havent even experienced the real world by then let alone found themselves. If people found themselves by 20 they wouldnt be looking back at 30 regretting a bunch of ****.

How old are you?

And those people had an early mid-life crisis that made them essentially buy a Mustang or get a young pussy girlfriend.

I think it’s really hard to say. Sometimes I think getting older just makes it harder to get to the root of the root of yourself in the Rumi way.

I think I was about 28 when I finished reading Tolstoy and I was really in tune with myself and a decade later I had vandalized myself so much with so many crazy binges **** I needed another decade to get back to where I was and I think I failed.

Idk but I do know that life isn’t or hasn’t been for me a narrative arc but more like a spiraling attempt to get something worth a **** out of the present and it’s very ****ing elusive.

Old age doesn't bring wisdom. It just gives you more time to rationalize your own bull****. This is why people are scared of post-modernism. People like to think that time brings progress but the toxic thought processes are just becoming more sophisticated and post-modernism laughs at your self-congratulatory nonsense.
