I think it’s really hard to say. Sometimes I think getting older just makes it harder to get to the root of the root of yourself in the Rumi way.
I think I was about 28 when I finished reading Tolstoy and I was really in tune with myself and a decade later I had vandalized myself so much with so many crazy binges **** I needed another decade to get back to where I was and I think I failed.
Idk but I do know that life isn’t or hasn’t been for me a narrative arc but more like a spiraling attempt to get something worth a **** out of the present and it’s very ****ing elusive.
