Randomly bumped into a video that explained why Danish sounds weird.

And one that gets into why the Danish word for "58" is totally logically obscure.

My father once tried to explain to me the logic behind that one and I didn't quite get it. It really is a total mess. A guy in the comments on this video even brings some corrections and clarifications. I'm content with just knowing how to say the number

So there's a CD and a cassette version of the original Killing Is My Business without all the remaster nonsense on Amazon and there's a nine dollar difference in favor of the cassette. So like, old school CDs often had bad mastering, right? I think this said it was from 1990 too. And a cassette wouldn't have that problem, right? And I have a busted CD player that still has a working cassette player that I never use but it's still there but it also doesn't have a headphone jack.

What do I do? And I don't even know if the CD version has bad mastering but I figure it might be an issue maybe I don't know. I don't even know if I care about the price difference cause it's an album that's worth what the **** ever they want from me.

Check Discogs. The discussions on the album pages will let you know which releases have shite masters, and the prices are usually pretty low.

Btw, CDs from the 80s and early 90s are fine. They're pre-Loudness Wars, so they tend to be on the quiet side, but you can just turn up the volume. The whole "tinny sounding" thing is mostly audiophile noncery, and also 'cause the bass levels aren't puffed up in the mixes like goofy artificial tits.

As far as I know, the only versions you should avoid of KIMB are the ones from 2000 and up. If you get an older version with the original cover artwork, it will sound just fine.

I kinda do want that cassette too though. I wouldn't mind having three versions of the album (I got that 2000 remaster).

There's a local radio station promoting a "Meghan Trainor, It's a No Brainer" concert, but I keep cracking myself up pretending I have a speech impediment and saying "Megan Twayno, It's a No Bueno".

I am derp.
