Schools have weird policies. Sometimes "zero-tolerance" isn't the best way to go. Like the kids who eat their toast into the shape of a pistol and pretend to shoot others and end up getting suspended.
I also wish that we could instill in children that their "permanent record" means jack s hit in real life.
Someone brought a knife to school with the intention of killing one of my friends one time.
I used to take at least 3 knives with me every day, and brass knuckles in case s hit popped off.
EDIT: I had a feud with this one dude. We got into a talking match in the parking lot one afternoon and he pulled a flail http://store.epiclarparmory.com/spre...ct/ME-0046.png from his car and tried to attack me with it. That was the last straw. So, the next day at lunch, I walked up to him and he said "do something" so I kicked his ass in front of everyone until the school's resource officer tackled me. Then I got suspended. He had been harassing my sister who was pregnant with the baby of an "illegally immigrated" Mexican who was too old for her at that time. The dude I beat up got in trouble for being racist, even more so because his mom was a teacher at the school. It was a whole ordeal. ]
