i think either there was a factory mess up when they were producing them or that there was a lawsuit over what it could be called and they still wanted to produce it under the most close name they could think of ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think Stein is just a more common spelling that people are used to and recall applies that to the books. And we also changed universes in 2000.
