My point is that the Americans did not invent the computer, ENIAC wasn't the first electronic computer, ENIAC wasn't very crucial on the scale of things, the computer is more of an international development than an invention, and as much as you want to, you can't discount the contributions of the Brits to computing.

Annnnnddd wrong again.
Refine your search criteria and DON'T pick the first wiki article that comes up that happens to have the name ENIAC in it. The claim was "first electronic computer"... leave the "general purpose" part out of it.... After you take this to another thread, of course. Hey um, can we have a Monday night six pack?
