If you're used to smoking them together, then I could see how smoking a regular bowl could feel incomplete. Kind of like how drinking and smoking is a much different (and better) animal than just drinking.

Sure. I used to finish a blunt or bong rips and immediately have a cig after it, but it doesnt get you more or equally high when mixing.

I'm sure it's just a habit but it seems like a weird habit not to develop when you're a smoker of both weed and cigs.

I tend to do snaps spread throughout the day and I usually just have a couple of smokes on a normal day so it's not often enough to be habit forming for me. If I'm at a party or doing some drunk hike business then it tends to go like that though.
