Exactly! America gets accused of us being ignorant but I bet the same people are ignorant to what's happening in the states.

kibbeh 06-23-2016 10:46 AM

being ignorant of what happens over the world like war and death and etc is different to not knowing what kind of music people listen to in certain countries smh.... america is known for being ignorant of international political issues. this is different. i SAID i don't expect you to know not to say you are ignorant but because there is no way you'd know??? unless you speak arabic? you know what i mean?? i wasn't accusing anyone of being ignorant, just sayin

also belguim = chocolate and gay turks

Chula Vista 06-23-2016 10:49 AM

The US is easily the most ignorant of all of the superpowers. We always try to act above all of the muck. Our arrogance has slayed our economy and our international standing.

Frownland 06-23-2016 10:49 AM

Damn we got to know about all the death too? I'm sorry I'm not about to keep up on heart attacks and diarrhea dehydration.

So you're telling me that people in Belarus can explain the economic problem in cameroon? People from Egypt have a perfect memory of the amount of people living in siberia? America is no more ignorant than every other country.

kibbeh 06-23-2016 10:59 AM

^^^^ you know what i mean. about the damage your drones and 'soldiers' do in other countries. look it up.

Wait, what part of the world are we ignorant of involving war and death? You mean YOUR part of the world? YOU are aware of suffering in YOUR part of the world and it bothers you that OTHERS are not aware of it? IT'S YOUR PART OF THE WORLD! Of course you're going to be more aware of it than we are.

But please, tell me everything you know about the brutal drug wars in Mexico.

kibbeh 06-23-2016 11:09 AM

you know what this reminds me of... when the paris attacks happened i was really mad over everything mostly the huge number of people who died. i was in saida that day the bombings happened in beirut. they happened in beirut first and then the paris attacks happened. i called my family and everyone was ok but i remember when all the cities in the world and the US too put up the french flag to honour the victims all i could think was HMMM what about the people who died in lebanon today like more than 40 people died??? HMMMM...... what is going on???? wheres lebanons flag??? that made me feel like wow the world hates us so much they don't give a **** if we get bombed or attacked but if it on european or american soil we're all supposed to apologize. **** that.

We're so used to hearing about **** blowing up and people getting shot in the Middle East that it's not shocking to us. That **** happening in Paris is not normal.

Also, they're white and they live in places that look like the places we live. It's just human nature to relate more to stories that look like they could (and have just) happened to you. It's not an American thing. It's not a Western thing. It's a people thing.

Blank. 06-23-2016 11:15 AM

148 people die in New York everyday day. Where's New Yorks flag? The bombings were sad but we can't honor every single tragedy.

kibbeh 06-23-2016 11:16 AM

honestly i feel the hate... i FEEL it. i don't even like to travel anymore which was always my favourite thing to do. in any airport outside the middle east i can't even speak arabic without feeling people look at me or give me weird looks. i also can't stand anymore 'random' searches i really can't. my parents warn us not to talk arabic like what is going on i can't take it anymore. and if we do speak arabic we always have to throw in english words i'm sick of it.

No! ****ing horse ****!!! A few years ago the midwest got struck by a massive flood. Hundreds of people's lost there homes. I remember reading it was the type of flood that happens once every five hundred years. You know how much mainstream coverage there was? You know how many flags were raised for us? You know how much mainstream coverage we got? Almost none. And guess ****ing what, it was predominantly white people! Two of the biggest stories in the last few years have been about black people getting killed!

kibbeh 06-23-2016 05:43 PM

**** moonspell but this girl is awesome

Zhanteimi 06-23-2016 05:48 PM

I'm glad Led Zeppelin won their court case.

kibbeh 06-23-2016 06:04 PM

i'm sad they won

Frownland 06-23-2016 06:06 PM

Plot twist: Chula was the judge.

That ruling is bs.

Zhanteimi 06-23-2016 06:24 PM

I was surprised they won considering how similar the songs sound in that one spot, but I'm glad they won because the songwriter is dead and during his life didn't see the point of bringing a lawsuit against Zep. It's only after his death that his estate is looking for some cash. Basically, greed brought this lawsuit about. At least, that's my reading of the situation. Could be totally wrong though.

kibbeh 06-23-2016 06:25 PM

led zeppelin suck if i were them i'd throw myself in jail

Zhanteimi 06-23-2016 06:29 PM

Why do you think Led Zeppelin sucks?

You think Led Zeppelin sucks but wanted Spirit to win the lawsuit? That's some crazy cognitive dissonance.

Aux-In 06-23-2016 06:45 PM

So does this permanently end the debate? I haven't read the ruling, but it seems the courts officially ruled it as not being a copy, thereby legitimizing "Stairway to Heaven" as Led's own work. Led cred retained.

It ends the debate of whether or not the judge was a fanboy (or who can afford better lawyers, more realistically).

Frownland 06-23-2016 06:52 PM

Nobody goes to jail over copyright.

This was trial by jury.

Frownland 06-23-2016 06:56 PM

Too bad they weren't allowed to listen to both of the songs.

Zhanteimi 06-23-2016 06:58 PM

They listened to both songs several times both in court and in deliberations.

JGuy Grungeman 06-24-2016 12:02 AM

I have a question. Say you have two of the same person. Only difference is that one has 1/3 of the other's height, length, and width. Basically, he could be a third. Or would he be a 27th? He has 1/3 of three different dimensions. 1/3 x 1/3 x 1/3 = 1/27. So, would he be 1/27 as strong as the other guy?

Frownland 06-24-2016 12:05 AM

Wut.

JGuy Grungeman 06-24-2016 12:09 AM

OK, say you took a guy and multiplied his body's three dimensions by three, increasing his height, width, and length by three each. He'd actually have 27x his original mass. So would he also have 27 times his original strength?
