I read a thing a little while ago that said cigs kickstart a more mellow high but reduce the actual "headspace" high. I don't know how true that is but I'll be ****ed if don't burn one after a bowl. It just feels incomplete.

For me I sort of does but then the weed kicks in and it feels great. I cant help it.

First of all it's cheaper.
A mixed joint will make you about as high as a pure one with much, much less weed.
Secondly it kicks more. Especially pure bowls don't really feel like anything, while mixed ones really **** you up.
Ultimately it all comes down to what you're used to of course.

Why? I even like the taste of mixed ones better and so do lots of others.

It ruins the taste, and for someone who quit smoking, it's just... no thanks.

I've never been against the blend but I've always preferred the pure joint. Your "eh it's the same high anyway" argument isn't really a selling point when you can just smoke a smaller joint.
