I bought an unfortunate looking dog cake from the Albertsons clearance rack at 10 pm last night (I hate grocery store cakes, but I just kind of looked at it and thought "a dog! A dog cake! I can't not get it")

Pretty sure this is listed as a symptom of depression in the DSM-V somewhere.

Buying the cake or the cake itself?

Chiomara 02-13-2018 07:21 AM

Both, I think.

That is not a dog. That is a ****ing bear.

Chiomara 02-13-2018 10:16 AM

OK, yes, maybe it does look more much more like a bear, but I'm gonna keep pretending it's a dog. I've seen so many terrible Albertsons animal-shaped cakes that it can be difficult to tell sometimes. Once I even asked the baker if a misshapen cupcake (with eyes and a tail) was a dog or a cat and they just shrugged and said "I wish I knew." (It actually isn't that bad for a clearance Albertsons cake, though, aside from the cake part being overly sweet. All I want at the moment is a basic old-fashioned yellow layer cake with chocolate frosting)
