I remember this. The study was about children and how they perceive others. In the study children, of all races, were asked to point out which one matched the question they were asked. All the children when asked which was was dumb or other negative questions always picked ones that weren't of their skin tone. Regardless of whether the children were white, black, hispanic, or Asian they picked the other. CNN took the study out of context and put a white mother of the girl and implied that her daughter was racist and then the poor woman cried on TV. It's not that children are racist but the age group of the children tested haven't developed brain functions for abstract thoughts such as racism. They are in an egocentric phase of their life when they equate everything to themselves so they think they are good and things not like them are bad.

Don't let her bother you, all the blood rushes to their head on that side of the world.

here's the thing children won't see those pictures as a "group" of people, they'll see each one as an individual person, maybe a kid in their class, or a kid on tv, who knows. but claiming that a child is racist is very stupid, and you're right they have an ego, the child would most likely pick the drawing that looked most like themself, and most would not call themselves stupid.
