I'm not going to lie, I'm quite jealous. I've seen Clapton twice, but there's never too much.

i was really in it for the steve winwood,...i've seen clapton a few times,....but i LOVE steve winwood and had never seen him,.....i've always been a big traffic/blind faith fan,...so it was great to see the two of them together

steve's voice sounded amazing,....and even clapton sounded better than i remember

the crowd was great,....i had floor seats, but stood and danced most of the time,......and aside from the $80 bucks spent on beer,.....it was an amazing show

I don't doubt it. I now feel a little deprived because I've honestly never listened to anything Steve Winwood has been involved in. Not to get this whole thing off-topic, but do you have any recommendations?

Tonight I find myself waiting for the Spain-USA Confederations Cup semi final to start in about an hour, very very hungry and absolutely gagging for a cig. Back in a minute then...

hell,...get off topic,....i mean i started the thread so its mine i guess,...

winwood

as far as i know he was in the bands:
spencer davis group (often known for gimme some lovein)
traffic
blind faith
go

out of the four,......i'm really into traffic and blind faith

clapton and winwood were both in blind faith, which only put on one album because clapton ran off to do the whole delany and bonnie and friends thing (whatever)

after blind faith broke up winwood reformed traffic,....i think that album was called 'john barley corn must die'

you should pick up the blind faith album,....or atleast just download 'cant find my way home' and 'presence of the lord',......

as for traffic,.....i'll suggest their ablum 'heavy traffic' as a startin point,....but imo they are all good

Tonight I'll find myself sweating like a greased up baked ham while I wrestle with cement backer board in round (evening) 17 of the bathroom remodeling battle...

When it's done, I'm gonna sit in my new jet tub with a bottle of Stoli, a shaker of ice, a martini glass and a container of olives, listen to some jazz I know little about and relaxxx with my gal ;-}

I definitely know of Blind Faith and have heard of Traffic, but have never actually sat down with music by either. I'll check out the Blind Faith album and I'll pick up Heavy Traffic. I love the tune Gimmie Some Lovin too; great track. Thanks for the tips.
