Just outta curiosity does anybody use a CD player still?

My last one was an MP3 CD player that I bought in a pawn shop back in like... 2003 and it was so good to me until it died in early '08, it outlived my first two iPods. I lost one in a pub when I was living in Wales and then I had an old 3rd generation 20 gig one that I dropped at the thing was ****ed. I took it to a specialty store that dealt with Apple products only, but they said that the costs to fix it would out weigh getting a new iPod. I just find it hilarious that old technology outlived the new stuff, and I dropped that mother quite a number of times.

Yeah. That applies to just about all electronics these days, it's sad. Or rather, pathetic.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

gah I hate I anythings

I just found out recently that overseas...well in singapore when you buy an iphone its not locked to at&t so you can use any carrier you want.

I have a 80GB zune that I just filled up like two days ago and I'm going to be getting a 120GB pretty soon

awhile back, I went into a best buy and put an ipod up against another mp3 player I think it was a creative. I played both sample videos on each. The creative one performed so much better than the crap Ipod. Ever since that day, I vowed never to buy one. They make so much money that they are able to slack on the quality a little bit and people will just accept it because of the fad

*I have an 8gb iPod Nano 4th gen which works great. The Apple earbuds are crap though, so I bought the AKG Acoustics k271 headphones.

I've used one for six years. However, it recently stopped working out of the blue.
Then again, the screen stopped working two years ago, the lid was hanging off, and you had to stick a pencil in a switch to trick the player into thinking it was closed.

Yeah, I used it the shizz out of it.

Yeah i still use mine every now and again. I use my ipod and laptop most of the time now though. When i want to listen to older stuff, like 70's or 80's music, i'm more inclined to play a CD instead because it does the music more justice than an mp3 player, and unfortunatly my record player doesn't work anymore so i cant play vinyl
My hifi has 2 cassette decks as well so sometimes i stick on a cassette for good times sake.

I figured that the number one would be the ipod classic just cause of the space.
I have the 160 GB ipod classic.
Works like a dream.

If you're posting in the music forums make sure to be thoughtful and expressive, if you're posting in the lounge ask yourself "is this something that adds to the conversation?" It's important to remember that a lot of people use each thread. You're probably not as funny or clever as you think, I know I'm not.
