"Frisbee" is a trademarked item by Wham-O. "Disc Golf" is not played using said trademarked items. You could use them in a casual, unsanctioned situation, but you'd probably lose horribly, and they aren't legal for use in sanctioned tournaments. *Also, contrary to some errant opinions, Disc Golf didn't happen because of the "Frisbee", it was first played using pie tins.
