Where the cold can't find me.

Near a beach, too.

Default Favourite places

We may have a similar thread I'm not entirely sure but post your favourite places, whether you have lived there, still do or visited.

That's the town where I live:

I hate the town itself but the surrounding countryside is beautiful.

and I grew up about ten minutes away from here:

When I visited here I just felt in complete awe and at peace and as I love UK history I could have just stayed there all day and night. Stonehenge:

Stonehenge is incredible. It has this ethereal aura about it that just leaves you transfixed... its hard to explain. What's the place in the middle picture? Looks divine.

That's Ironbridge where the industrial revolution began. History was just a part of growing up for me and I love it to this day.

Ironbridge built in 1779:

Stonehenge damn near left me breathless. It makes you seem so inconsequential in the scheme of time. Over 4,000 years old!

As to where I would like to go:

New Zealand. Like an unspoilt Britain:

Texas. It has so many features that you just don't get in the U.K and the sheer openness of it stirs the imagination.

Niagara Falls. 'nuff said:

^ Aberdeen is my favourite city I've lived in. For a place that's home to the so-called roughest pub in the UK, the people are surprisingly friendly. North-east Scotland's an absolutely beautiful place as well.

^ Me and my family stayed in this cute little condo right by Mount Washington, New Hampshire about eight years ago or something like that.. That was pretty cool.
