I agree. The keys are by far the best part. Every year we go there for mini lobster season. 5 lobster per person per day. Ive pet wild nurse sharks there. Even had a run in with a school of cuda a few times, once they ate through our mesh bag and ate about 60 lobster tails (no we didnt have 12 people, twas a bit illegal)

I've never lived in Florida (I've visited there), but me and my friends always get into arguments over which state is better, Florida or California. I always go with California (probably having to do with living there for 9 years). Just thought I'd randomly throw that out there.

My californian friend likes FL better, I tell him I'd proably like Cali better, but ill not know until I go there. He states Northern Cali is far superior to southern cali.

Ha! Is there really any debate? California wins it on weather alone. And that's without even touching things like music. I mean, with the possible exception of a couple metal bands, has any good music ever come out of Florida?

I can sort of see why some might, but we are very westernised and are definitely English speaking. But we have a native language called Maori.

IMO California has everything to offer. If you want consistently warm weather, you stay in SoCal. If you want seasonal weather, NorCal is for you. If you want consistently cold weather, well, no one wants that anyways. California also has everything to offer geography-wise: lakes, mountains, beaches, forests, canyons, etc.

IMO a harder question to answer, SoCal or NorCal? I'd say SoCal only because I lived there, but for visiting purposes I'd go with NorCal as it has more of the national parks. L.A. can't be beat, though.

I have to say I like SoCal better. I spent a couple months living in Pismo Beach last year and absolutely loved it (I realize that's the northern fringes of SoCal but still). Also, I feel like I'm one of the only people I know who prefers LA to San Francisco but I do. I'm not sure why exactly. Part of it is that I think the people are friendlier down there.

Yeah, I grew up around there and I just like the scene a whole lot better.

I take it you hail from Cali? You from SoCal or NorCal? I grew up in Ventura County, you?
