Saying something is overrated based on only your perception of it is basically saying that everyone who rates a thing highly is mistaken, because it doesn't align with your opinion of that thing.

I thought it was obvious that it was just my own personal opinion of why "I" thought it was overrated. It was criticising if anything. I didn't imply that my opinion was more important than anybody elses? And if I did, then I apologise. Didn't mean it that way, and expect everybody had to agree with me. As I mentioned, not everybody has to adhere. Was just discussing the reasons of my statements. Cool, you think ice cream is overrated, I respect that. Doesn't mean I shouldn't question it.

It's just an expression valuing something. That's all. Everybody has their own judgements, especially in opinions.
