It pretty much does, not sure about the up and down bit though. I guess some people just see sex as anti-climatic or a chore to please their partner more than anything else.

Sex is overrated is the dumbest cliche I've ever heard, and it seems like the most likely virgins are the ones saying it. Sex is great, whether it be for pain or pleasure (it's usually both, one way or another).

I disagree. I think sex is often given a magical and romantic idealistic expectation. When someone has it with many people or even just the first time it rarely meets those expectations.

Between not knowing what you are doing or simply just having sex with someone because they are physically attractive can definitly lead to disappointing sex.

Dunno what to say other than agree to disagree. I know sex can be disappointing, but it's all about perspective. Overrated means that it can be quantified somehow.
