I don't go near period sex. Hence, being a lesbian sucks; if both ladies aren't synced up and having their monthlies at the same time, it's 10-12 days of no sex every month in total.
I had a girlfriend once who was DTF while either of us were on the rag, but I was not, so that didn't happen.

Maybe it's because I grew up with my sister and mother, but I've never had any disgusted reaction towards periods. It's just blood. It doesn't tend to smell, it's a bit gloopier than normal blood and I have no real urge to find out if it tastes like normal blood, but getting grossed out by it doesn't really make much sense.
Besides, it's incredibly handy to know whether a girl you are around regularly has regular periods or whether she's on her period at any one time. All the more invaluable if said girl is rather susceptible to mood swings :P
