I'm not a guy but I think this is a seriously screwed up double standard. Our relationship wasn't going anywhere, and I think I just needed a way out.

Well it doesn't make sense. He's being irrational. Just be glad you're not with someone who treats you that way. If he wants to talk about you that way, let him talk, you know the truth. And someone who loves you will believe you either way.

This is also good advice, but dread makes it seem like you should walk into the room in just your underwear. Maybe you have to "pick something up" and you show a little. No matter what anyone tells you, imagination is always better than reality. If you show an inch of something lacy, his mind is likely going to put you together as a supermodel.
