Ok... so here's one then, seeing as we're on the subject. How do women feel about porn? I'm with Vegangelica tbh, I think it's great. But if it crops up in conversation my female friends look at me like I am some mad sexual deviant for liking porn (be it for myself or for me and my partner). Is it just a bloke thing or is it a lot more acceptable for women these days? Sorry if I'm stepping over old ground here...

I like porn, for the most part. I think liking it and being female is a lot more acceptable now than it was before, but I've definetely gotten the mad sexual deviant look before. I don't really openly admit it in mixed company.

The only problem I've ever had with porn was with people not understanding the difference between porn and real sex... because being crotch-piledrived into the bed may look awesome in porn, but in real life it's a great way to break your neck.

Also, unrealistic expectations and all that jazz.

I'm going to sound like I wander around telling everybody about my sexual preferences now - I don't, but... The weird looks usually come from my female friends alot more than male. My best friend will often include me in the great Redtube vs Porn hub debate that they have (bless 'em) whereas my female friends don't really 'get it'.

But at least I know I'm not on my own with this now! But I am curious to know why women don't like it. The only answers I've ever had are "Well, it's disgusting". I'm not sure if they really think that or whether that's just how they think women are supposed to react to porn.

I didn't think of it that way, hah. It's alright, really. Sex comes up a lot in conversations, but all I usualy contribute is "I like sex. A lot.". A few of my friends are really prudish anyways, and since we all hang out in a group, whenever sexual preferences come up they bitch and moan the entire time... I'm used to having to steer away from the subject.

It's interesting with guys/girls and admitting to like porn. I think sometime when I was a teenager, I figured out when it comes to stuff like that that pretty much all other guys are basically like me. For example, they wank and like porn. Whenever you meet a guy who didn't get his balls chopped off or who's not too old, that's almost a guarantee, even if he's a catholic priest. Being honest about stuff like that is quite freeing in a way.

I've read that some women are not like this though, that about 3 in 10 girls from 18 to 26 years of age already find that they have a very low sex drive and might now want it much. Take that statistics with a grain of salt (came from a tabloid newspaper), but if this group exists, I guess in general these women will not watch porn and will pleasure themselves rarely.

I guess that if you are a girl and admit you wank and like porn to your girl friends, then there might be someone in that group who can't relate to these feelings and desires at all. If you are a guy, then you're really just confirming that you are a guy like most, not a deviant who does anything different.

I find it sexy when women are honest about their sexuality, know what they want and are not afraid to try and get it. In my experience, it seems many girls get uncomfortable when they take their clothes off, have little confidence in bed and don't want to take an active role in getting what they want out of sex. It's sad because the opposite of that is such a turn on!

It seems to me that so many people are unsure of breaking into that animal mentality. The world in general, whether it be work, school, friends or family, expects you to act the part of the civilized human being, so that when it comes to sex, some people don't know how to switch that off. They can't be primal, which is what sex is. It's a primal, animal level, base instinct. Which is what I like about it. It's simple. It's honest, and it's ****ing awesome.

If we take this and add it to the 'fact' that women don't reach they're sexual peak until their 40s I can see why perhaps women my age (late 20s) wouldn't be as adventurous or open as others. But then I also think, watching porn is hardly the most taboo of sexual acts, especially if you mention it in the context that it is something you and a partner enjoy as opposed to on your own. But the whole watching porn with someone seems to be even more deviant behaviour to people!

Well it's always been said that men have more of a sex drive but I don't know how true that is, maybe women can just control theirs better.

And having a big sex drive can be overrated, I'm a horny motherf*cker and as stated before that can be overly distracting, if you get a boner while trying to do something that will be the end of your concentration lol.

I live with my grandmother and my computer is right next to my bedroom door which is close to the bathroom which my grandma uses frequently AND the lock doesn't work AND she has a habit of kicking my door open without knocking.

This means I have to make a time schedule for my wank sessions, I usually reserve them for the night time when she's asleep because it's harder in the day time when she's constantly at my door asking for something.

Tea Supremacist, what you describe sounds nice to me and if doing that with your partner is just too much for your girl friends, then I think they are a bit close minded! Possibly, they say they don't do this, but the reality is perhaps slightly different?
