Jesus... that sucks. I hope they become more accepting.

@Paloma- He sounds like an asshole.

It's actually common, I've heard, for girls to go through a thing where we think we're bisexual, (some of us end up being so, not to make myself misunderstood in saying that I think it's all a phase, because it isn't) I do remember I thought that I was, I never was attracted to males until I was about fourteen or fifteen, and then I went boy crazy. I still feel admiration for the female form though, women are hot.

Mm.
Most of the girls I've been with thought they were straight.
I know where you're coming from.

Are you bisexual/lesbian now or straight? I dabbled in a few female pashes but nothing beyond that. I truely love the c0ck. Still can appreciate a good looking woman though.

I'm not anything.
I just love who I love.
Whoever I have a connection with, be them a guy, girl, or whatever they choose, I'll give them a chance without limiting myself.

Did she give any reasons for this? Did you engage her in conversation? I think you should let her (and your boys know) that you don't share her opinion. You can do that without "outing" yourself...

Is there something someone isn't telling us?

Also, I'd be gutted if my son was gay.
I don't know Lee's partners reasons, but mine are unselfish. (not saying hers are...I wouldn't know)
Life for the boy would be infinitely easier if he wasn't in a town like this.
The levels of tolerance here are quite high, but even so, he'd still be in for a rough ride. (so to speak).

Well I hope you're creating an environment where your kids can feel safe with whatever sexuality they turn out to be. If they have an accepting and loving home dealing with the outside world is much easier.
