Hell was a little more nuanced back in the days. I mean, although it's perhaps not exactly the foremost authority on what awaits people (christians) in the afterlife, Dante's Divine Comedy is full of lovely descriptions on what sort of punishment might await you depending on what sort of sinnery you've been engaged in.

My sin would probably be not believing and not being baptized. I would have to chill out with Socrates, Aristotles and the other virtous pagans in Limbo. Possibly I would be punished for having sex outside of marriage or something, but I can't remember any specifics about that. I can't remember anything about weed or masturbation either for that matter.

that is actually the one funny thing about catholics...everything you do is evil pretty much except alcohol. ever been to a catholic wedding? yeah they like their booze. every catholic family i meet has at least 1 or 2 alcoholics.
