okay so here is my delema(or how ever you spell it)


im 16 years old (9/3/1992)

my girlfriend is 20 years old (8-5-1988)



The legal age of consensual sex in the stae of ohio is "16 m/f no homosexual law"
my parents are trying and trying to tell me this is no the law in ohio and that a 4 year difrence is way too much...mind you my dad is 15 years older than my mom...i mean guys don't get me wrong i like older girls cause they have the crap together...but i think i love her....I REALLY THINK I DO. and they are trying to break us up..i dont want that to happen... so any advice on how to handle this situation...

First you need to convince your parents that their right and you think this girl is a total skank and you want nothing to do with her. Then find like a 17 year old girlfriend to introduce to your parents so they see that you're "on the right track". Then try to get both girls into a 3some.

I don't think we're the best people to be asking to be honest with you. Don't you have someone to talk to in person about this kind of stuff? Someone you know?

Well , it at least means that you're parents cant take legal action against the girl, which should definitely be a relief to you. It doesn't seem like you're gonna be able to date this girl with your parents approval, so either lie, try to reason with them some more, or end it. Personally I think my original approach is the best tactic.

get a girl your own age, you're only 16

I can't imagine having wanted to date a 16 year old when I was 20. I mean I know that some 16 year olds are more mature, but even the MOST mature 16 year olds are still 16 year olds. Wierd.

But in any case, like someone else said, your parents will probably never like that you're dating this girl, will most likely antagonize you until you go out for years and they're forced to be polite (which, I'm sorry, but at 16 it's highly doubtful this will last very long), or it ends. So either lie, or put up with the constant bickering, or just end it. I'd suggest against lying, it'll only make your situation worse when they find out, which they will.
