Two things I want to address.
First off, by sending in the application to right-track you're giving him consent to post it publicly in the moderators forum where it can be discussed. Secondly, many of you have asked what exactly a moderator does. Essentially a moderator is the enforcer of the standards that they impose on musicbanter (through the forum rules as well as that long waver you click 'Agreed' to when you joined but never actually read.) Outlined in there are rules against spamming (which a moderator would have to delete) and how to conduct yourself on the forum (failure to do so results in a ban.) There's more specifics things a moderator does, such as a merging duplicate threads and duplicate posts and acting as the referee in arguments. It's a lot of bitch work I won't lie. |

I used to be a Moderator in another forum alot like this one (at which I quit, but only because I felt unwanted and that I didn't need it anymore) so I know just about everything there is to know, I was there for about a year.

I'm a great appreciater and believer in the dugnad-spirit and think all internet communities could use more of it .. You know, members getting together and shining the place up.
I said I wouldn't apply for the job, but now I have after all. Moderators leaving their positions can lead to more work for the others and of course a turnover in the social aspect of modding .. All this has potential of causing more mods to tire which in turn is not good for MB, so let's hope that doesn't happen and good luck to all worthy candicates. And thanks to triple J and Cardboard for their efforts!
