I hate final papers
So basically, my first year as a university undergrad has been a good one, up until I realized that I have three final research papers due this Friday.
I hate my life, Who else is suffering from finals? Please share the pain so I can feel better!! |
been there, done that.
how does complaining about the work get it done any faster though? my method of getting through higher education was to chart out the major assignments during the last month of classes. just because you have 3 weeks to get something done doesn't mean you can let is slide for 2 and a few days. prioritize and optimize your time. put the weeknight partying on hold until everything is handed in, only start partying on the weekend after dinner instead of after lunch. out of the 3 how much do you have done for each? what are the subjects? are they all relevant to your major (or what you think you'll major in)? how much is each paper worth in regards to your final grade for each class? use that info to figure out which one needs to be done first (and to what level). it's already monday night here so that means you have all of 3 days to get these done before you have to start handing them in on friday. if you're doing anything more than proofreading and fixing grammatical errors on friday morning your paper is effed. |
haha, hopefully ill be done everything by friday... just a little stressed is all, i think ill pop a couple amphetamines and just stay up for three straight days lolll

yeah college can be a b*tch. i've pulled 6 all nighters this year for design homework

If you take fish oil tablets they will help you concentrate better, so you're more likely to focus and get the assignment done. Pretend you want to do this assignment and start it from the moment you get it so that when you get suprise tests or other assignments during the period its due at least you'll have started breaking it down. I know it's a pain, but it's not high school anymore and you can't just 'wing' it.

not the best plan actually. you can get away with a single night here and there but 2-3 in a row is a recipe for disaster. you'll think you're being lucid and clear but the other person will be reading your work and thinking 'WHAT. THE. ****!'. unless your papers are for more artsy / creative classes in which case that might work to your benefit haha the last time i pulled an all-nighter was to put together a 200 page design document (LOTS of copying and pasting) after my teammates dropped the ball and provided their parts on single loose leafs written in pencil (the pencil page was actually the best submission from my 'work' group). *edit* - the comment above is also spot on. winging it worked in high school but in any type of post secondary you WILL be called on it, and depending on the place, ridiculed by the faculty more than the students. |
lol yeah i know, well im doing well.. just started the first paper, its going well.
lol written in pencil? who the **** does that nowadays lol? you shouldve given that kid a beating... must of been annoying to rewrite that on word lol |
i ended up stretching that one page of pencil to 80 pages of text. i gotz mad word skillz. haha
either way, i didn't want to bum you out on your workload, but it's a serious workload. good luck with your papers (you never did tell us what they were about...) |
oh sorry, yeah uhm
first paper is about diversity in the workplace (the positives and negatives) 2nd paper is about self-directed learning (its bull****) 3rd paper i forget |
I actually sympathize with you on this one. I'm swamped with papers, not to mention i'm trying to put together a film on lingerie and I have learned the hard way that film editing takes a **** long time.
