Exactly why I will never read it. That specific genre is the most dull thing on earth to me. If I wanted to hear such stories, I'd just read one of the countless long essays floating around online written by smug, aging trust fund babies with endless disposable income who think they're enlightened because they went to a meditation retreat in Nepal or whatever. I really detest that particular brand of new age thought that's just a lazy mish-mash of Law of Attraction nonsense and extremely watered-down (and often incorrect) concepts taken from various Eastern religions.
