Most of the pictures I see have Tec-9's with threaded barrels, which makes sense given how inaccurate they can be. Here's one without that attachment.

Being inaccurate is mainly due to the barrel being super short, and having to pump out 9mm ammo at a fast rate. They dont weigh all that much so kick is still a problem when automatic.
