It's even worse when they're just baffled that you're not losing your mind to the music.

I don't mind deathcore. It was the genre that got me into Extreme metal. But I think it's hilarious that they name in that picture Black Veil Brides and Pierce The Veil as real metal. You want to talk about butt-rock? Those bands are ****ing butt-rock.

Deathcore on the other hand gets boring after the initial holy **** factor wears off.

Discussions about what "real" metal is is a poseur's game.

So is using the term poseur.

When using the term "poseur" I am reminded of Chris Rock and "***got". It went something like, "I don't care if a person is gay, straight, or whatever, but what if they're acting... like... a faggot?" There was more to the joke but I can't be arsed to remember it all.

"Poseur" is the same way. It's dumb to run around calling people poseurs or saying that bands have sold out, but sometimes a poseur is a poseur is a poseur.

Louis CK does a similar bit, I wonder who ripped off who?

I think Chris Rock's bit might have been more possibly homophobic, or at least he made it more difficult to tell if he was secretly homophobic. And I have no idea who did it first. I know Chris Rock has been popular far longer, but I have no idea how long Louis CK was active before getting famous.

2007, no idea when the Rock bit was from since I haven't seen it.

I'm not even that big a Chris Rock fan but this is actually pretty damn funny. And I'd say that they're both on the same level of non-offensive offensiveness on this issue.
