"shipping" refers to taking two characters or people and making up erotica based off of the two that you pick.

the erotica is usually called fanfiction.

the Gameboy screenshots are screenshots of the actual towns in the gameboy games from Pokemon.

I believe those specific towns were in Pokemon Blue/Red but I could be wrong.

Initially, after reading the first line in your reply, I came to the conclusion that I don't get it because you get it. Then I read further, and now I realize that I don't get it because it's a Pokemon reference, and you get it. My day got better just now.

Nah, they're definitely not, but it's probably more likely that a majority of the people that use the internet are not virgin nerds. Considering the fact that many parents, teachers, government officials, celebrities, every day citizens, etc. all use the internet (many of them even on Facebook, Youtube, and other social media), and probably don't even know what roflmao stands for, I think we can conclude that there's likely a particular demographic of people who know what "Shipping" is.

I'm just assuming all that, but I think we can agree that we don't exactly have to do a poll or anything.
