I don't know, break ups are tough, and it's only natural for humans to use humour as a way of dealing with tough things that happen in our lives.

I become a bit sad, angry and reclusive until one of my friends take me to the pub and make me spill it all. Then we get soppy drunk to the point where we're sharing private things from our emotional lives, slapping shoulders and telling how much we mean to eachother .. and then we forget the sadness and have a kickass time.

There's more to it, but that bit there is really nice

Time. After a while, you just start to not care though.

That just about sums my coping mechanism up nicely.
The darker the humour, the better.
And that applies to just about every personal disaster I've experienced in my life...and there have been many.

Usually I've been the one to break up with someone, and if the otherway around I just block out the unhappy feelings and move on as quickly as possible. Not the most healthy mechanism but it works.

Ive dated alot of women and I can say this: if the relationship ended for any reason at all it wasnt meant to be, things happen for a reason and there is no point at all to look back and say 'what if this' or what if that', no one deserves to beat themselves up mentaly like that and to be quite honest there isnt a human being on this earth worth beating up ones self up like that. You need to think positive, positive thinking is the key to everything. There are a billion fish in the sea and it doesnt take that long to catch another one.

Actually, I've always broken up with my boyfriends. Only 2 were sort of hard, like the most recent.
