Salmonella all over the shop?

edit - I will do this though just not in the sink.

Auntie Fee is the chosen one.

Smoked salmon, hummus, and mozzarella is one of the best unlikely trios I've ever come across while baked as hell. It stood up to sober tests as well since I had sampling partner.

You certainly do have your presentation down. That's probably the one pillar of cooking I'm still pretty bad at. My food (generally) tastes great but it certainly never has the picturesque quality that yours does.

It usually boils down to just cleaning the edges of the plate.

Plankton 07-10-2015 11:21 AM

Stuffed peppers, rice, and arrachera taco's with homemade salsa, refried beans and hot sauce.

http://i539.photobucket.com/albums/f...psnfvwwt2a.jpg

A foremen at work cooked this up for everyone at lunch today. It's pretty ****ing amazing. The meat was bought preseasoned from a Supermercado in Joliet that just opened, peppers were grown and prepared by the cook, and the rest is just standard fare.

Chula Vista 07-10-2015 11:28 AM

Looks great. What's the peppers stuffed with??

It's best fried though.

Yeah I definitely want a deep fryer so I can pump out mass quantities of crispy fatty good ol' good ol' stuff... Gluten free of course.

And all our eggs are free range... We just walk outside

You raise chickens?? That's awesome! I want to do that too, a lot of free range egg farms (is that what they're callled?) still butcher their chicks and the criteria for 'free range' on a commercial scale is... well... not so great.
Is it a lot of responsibility? It gets kinda cold where I live, I'd imagine they'd need some sort of heated shelter?

innerspaceboy 07-11-2015 08:57 PM

My Fridge Food (also available as an app) lets you plug in the crap you've got sitting in your fridge and offers you possible meals you can put together using those, (or just a few more) ingredients.

What the F*ck Should I Have For Dinner? is another fun one to try.

I guess you might stumble across something you might not have thought of on your own but come on man... make some **** up yourself. Very lame.

Raising BackYard Chickens, Build a Chicken Coop, Pictures of Breeds

I've been a member for a while, although I don't have any chickens. It's a goal of mine to have a coop though.

I live down South so not sure about your region? But here, the only ones that need to be heated are the chicks, which you can put in a brooder with a heat lamp. We don't farm commercially, just a hobby farm. Want a milk cow so I can learn to make cheese, yogurt, etc... I'm obsessed with microorganisms and mini ecosystems and have been itching to colonize some dairy :D

grtwhtgrvty 07-12-2015 05:55 PM

I used to live in a house that had chickens and ducks and they didn't seem like a huuuuuge amount of maintenance. But I wasn't really involved in taking care of them. They seem to more or less fend for themselves as long as they have a home and food though. My brother was our neighbor and one time he came over and threw one of the chickens off the porch (it's like a 7-8 foot drop) because he thought it was going to fly and the chicken died.

GuD 07-13-2015 12:44 AM

Your brother is dumb.
