On the subject of Mexican food, if you're in Mexico, SoCal, or New Mexico (**** Arizona tbf), treat yourself to a goddamn torta. It's a shame that it's overshadowed by tacos even though they make more sense as a street food.

NYC has great tortas. My usual go-to when there isn't a good halal cart in walking distance.
