I made some crock pot chicken yesterday. Potatoes on the bottom, boneless chicken breasts on top of that, seasoning (paprika, garlic powder, thyme, salt/pepper), then sliced onions over that followed by some cooked bacon to cover everything. It came out a little dry, so now it's been turned into a chicken stew/soup incarnation where I threw in all kinds of different crap when I came home drunk last night. I think I threw a package of Ramen in there at some point along with some Swiss cheese and I barely remember trying to add more spices including way too much thyme (oops-a-daisy). It almost tastes like a turkey dinner now. Drunk me thought it was pretty good and I ate myself into a coma.

Made chicken sandwiches with homemade scalloped potatoes and asparagus with fennel and parmesan for a few people yesterday. The chicken sandwiches were okay, but I raised hell with the sides.

I'll be honest, asparagus is one of those vegetables I could never get down to due to the consistency. Flavor wise I got over my revulsion a long time ago.

I figured that you'd be all about it.
