The only veggie, I truly hated as a kid were beets.

Oh and Okra!

Just picked a 1.5 quart slow cooker that's perfect for making meals for just 2 people. Trying a tomato based beef sauce as we speak.

1/2 pound raw beef crumbled up
1 medium sweet onion chopped
3 cloves garlic minced
Some Italian seasoning and chopped basil
A couple of tsps of sugar to cut the acidity

Easy peasy.

Ever tried pickled beets? The only veggie I truly hated growing up was canned peas. Beyond gross.

No I haven't. I got rid of my taste for green peas as a teen. I had an incident where I got food poisoning eating peas out of a can and never again. If I taste the consistency my gag reflex starts up.

I have been meaning to get a slow cooker. Might pick one up next week.

They are awesome. Toss in a bunch of stuff in the morning, set it on low, and dinners ready when you get home. I should have gotten a two quart one though. The recipe I downloaded filled the 1.5 quart one to the brim.

Amazon has a number of slow cooker meals for two books that are available for free on your Kindle.

Been trying to get some pancetta for months as my local Asda rarely stocks it. Got some, will be making carbonara with this

Also got some faggots from the butcher, they look like little brains.

Can't wait to eat them
