I had one last week. Good enough, but you can tell that they're trying to pass cheap hops off on you beneath the tangerine flavour.

Isn't that the way it is with most fruit (and spice) flavored beers, though?

I tend to avoid such beer for that reason.

Yes, but there are exceptions like Track 7 or Allagash (though the latter is incredibly overpriced).
