Got another Make Your Own sixer. The star in this particular line-up, which led to the six pack being over $20, is Trappistes Rocheforte 10, a very high ABV and highly-rated Belgian. The moment I walked into the store, the dude who works there immediately directed me to it, based on my love for previous Belgians of late.
Very excited to try it, and it's chilled and ready to go. Trappistes Rochefort on Beer Advocate ![]()

That's Mendocino, right? If so, also check out their Eye of the Hawk. Just about the most dangerously drinkable ale at 8.9% ABV you're going to find out there. Pretty solid stuff.

One could easily drink an entire six-pack of those without even thinking about it, and get completely sloshed before you knew what was happening. *** As an aside, in reference to my evening's drinking: Just finished my Trappistes Rochefort 10, and all I can say is that I consider that beer a work of art. At 11.3% ABV, it was bound to taste somewhat of alcohol, the mouthfeel slightly anesthetizing ones' tongue, but the amount of flavor, the balance of flavor, and pretty much every aspect - from look to the yeast settling to the bottom of the glass - was absolutely gorgeous.

I really do hate you people with your non-state run liqueur stores. They don't sell beer so you have to make do with Budweiser and Coors at the supermarket.

I don't mind settling for PBR for the millionth time in a row, but I would like some variety and Budweiser and Miller don't count. I mean we get Killian's and Guinness and some other stuff, but the variety is just kind of meh.
