So a 3% beer that tastes like water is OK? Oh c'mon. if you drink beer to get drunk then tuck in. if you genuinely LIKE the taste of beer then you have to drink something that has a little gravitas.

when i drink to get drunk, i'm not really fussy. after the seventh or eighth i doubt i'd care what label is on my beer.

i do like the taste of beer, but i don't think ABV is a good index of quality. this is one of my favorites and i doubt it gets much stronger than 4%.

^ Exactly, isn't it the starch source and hops that gives beer taste? Not alcohol content?

That's what I am saying though. If it is less than 5% then I generally cannot get drunk on it and stated that it wasn't bravado. just a fact. Rather worringly, the 5% beers are having less effect these days either

Haha, I saw that on mythbusters, I guess it works. I can't imagine ever wanting to get drunk that badly though.

Come on, it's just like a really uncomfortable keg stand.
