Tonight I'll be making gin cocktails (with homemade blackberry-lemon syrup, cucumber, and elderflower tonic water) for our new twice-monthly movie night.

I wish I were one of those guys who can sit around being all classy and **** and sipping on some whiskey or cognac. Have a bottle of each here, pretty good and fancy ones even, but it's just not something I enjoy drinking at home alone.

I enjoy it quite a bit, but it's not a very good way to get drunk so I usually pass for something that I can ingest with a quickness.

I figure one at least needs a fireplace and a velvet high-backed chair to feel sufficiently fancy and Byronic. (Tequila doesn't quite have the same effect)
