I may or may not be drinking rum mixed with kool-aid. (I didn't want to use what little remained of my sister and brother in law's mixers, so.. kool-aid it is.)

It was definitely not good; as it turns out, Sharkleberry Fin is the best flavor for mixing with alcohol. In case anyone was dying to know. Today we only had strawberry kiwi kool-aid in the fridge, and the flavor just wasn't strong enough to balance out the rum. (But yesterday I mixed SO much vodka with the sharkleberry kool-aid and could not taste the vodka at all.)

I've seen days like that myself. Pretty disgustingly terrible in my experience but whatever works in the moment. I'd never try that again, though. Rather drink it straight.

Kool-Aid is one of those famous American things that just never shows up in stores where I live. I have no idea what it tastes like, so I can't tell if mixing it with rum is a good idea or a terrible idea.

Ever had Gatorade? It's not much different as far as I remember. It's just kind of vaguely fruit-flavored water.

Nope, I haven't had that either.
I kind of suspected kool-aid would be more like Mountain Dew, but I guess that was way off.

Kool-Aid doesn't taste like the devil's piss though. It's like Hi-C, or Powerade, or whatever cheap, fruit-flavored drink sans fruit that you can think of.
