had a chance to sample this last night when our beverage purveyor wanted to reward the kitchen for a banquet function we worked. she brought in 4 cases for us, and at 9.0% abv i can still safely say they got polished off by the end of the night. seriously delicious stuff right here. |

With the ridiculous state of affairs regarding U.K taxation and beers dropping below the 5% mark it is good to find a good tasting lager @ 6% that is still cheap to buy and tastes decent. My local off license does a roaring trade with any Polish beer available at £1 per 500ml can.

Surly's "SurlyFest" and "Bitter Brewer" are some of the best I've ever had; Founders/New Glarus/Bells included, and highly recommended to anyone who's into craft beer/micros. Actually same goes for any Surly, but those are two I tried only last week.
Right now though, just Newcastle Brown Ale. |

I have not, I'll keep an eye out for it. The variety of beers here is astonishing. Stateside it's more of a hassle to find anything other than the big domestic brewers/imports.
I'm in central London, at the moment. Stone's throw from Kensington. |
