guiness is great, just a shame no one here knows how to do a proper pour.

I pour it into a plastic cup. I don't have the funds or any funds to buy decent glass cups. It does the job, though.

Got two of these in trade. Wasn't aware they were bottled for consumption but found a friend who wanted some Pliny's in trade.

My love of citra hops is growing and this one is usually a 4 out of 5 on the beer scale. Looking forward to it.

I could only stomach half the bottle. Its a very odd concept indeed. Pretty sweet bottle though, the same reason i bought the black metal bottle.

well, if you just drink it out of a bottle, no need to do a proper pour, because it should just be drank straight from the bottle.

The proper pour only matters if you get it on tap.

British beer gets weaker- MSN Money
The whole reason I drink Export (apart from it's taste) is it's usual 5% vol because any beer below 5% just doesn't taste good to me and just doesn't 'hit' me at all.

Now I understand companies wanting to save money but you just can't make an inferior product and A) charge exactly the same amount (it has actually gone UP in price at Tesco's) and B) not inform customers of this. I am very pissed off as I brought some back with me and it tastes like all the other cack lagers now (Carling, Fosters etc).

Of course the government are as usual at the root of this and ripping companies who of course have to pass that off to consumers to absorb the hit. If it carries on like this I will have to get onto Special Brew (!) or cider which is currently £2.66 for 3L @ 5.3% vol and is actually damn good!

Please don't tell me I should be drinking spirits instead. Yes I SHOULD but I can't afford them and work far too many hours to function constantly.

Bollocks.
Yeah, this happens all the time, sadly. Jack Daniels, for example, has had this happen twice:

Quote:
Unfortunately, not a word of it is true. For the second time since the Brown-Forman Corporation acquired the distillery in 1956, they have lowered the proof of Jack Daniel's Black Label Tennessee Whiskey. Fifteen years ago they dropped its original 90 proof to 86, and very recently, and might I say with zero fanfare, they degraded it to 80 proof.
