Jack Daniels? Are you serious? Shit tastes like perfume. Even the cheapest Irish or Scottish Whisk(e)y is better than that abomination.

It's Tennessee bourbon, not a whiskey (despite the label). And considering the huge price gulf (around $22 for a bottle of JD, $45-55 for a decent single malt Scotch), it's actually rather good. Not to mention it's one of the only bourbons that mixes well, and certainly much better than traditional whiskies like Glenfiddich or Jameson.
Bourbon is indeed an acquired taste, but no more so than any other liquor.

Drinking some Milwaukee's Best Ice. Wasn't going to drink, but had a few extra bucks lying around and decided that, why not? I'm 9 in of the 12 16oz. brews.
Still tastes like ballsack, but it's better than nothing.

Yeah. I know.
I do not mind JD, was my entry point... now a days I would rather get a good single malt whisky. JD is to weak for me, would rather have...

Also, I honestly like even the cheapest Jim Beam more than Bushmills. However, I had to force myself to stop drinking Jameson because I love her far too much to ever have a normal relationship. Quote:
You gotta try Maker's Mark if you haven't. And .. JD is too weak in which ways? Flavor? Alcohol content? I love the taste of an upper top shelf Bourbon but I kinda need to stick to 80 proof these days. Of course I consider regular Jim Beam good-tasting so maybe I'm not the best judge compared to you whiskey connoisseurs.
