The beer is obviously very strong...
As for me, by the 30 pack, and some: Bourbon fit for a God.

Hehe, I deleted one of them now.
Anyway, what I may be drinking tomorrow excites me. I'm hopefully off to Newcastle Beer Festival, where I will be drooling over their selection of beers and ciders. I want this one, called Blackout at the very bottom of the page. Quite an apt name for an 11% beer! |

I also wrote out my first impressions of the beers I bought, in case anyone's interested in trying any of them. I'm not going to type out the whole writeup, as I'm on my Blackberry, but just so you get the idea of what they're like: O'Fallon Pumpkin Beer: 5.6% ABV Aroma: 2/5 Flavor: 3/5 Color: 4/5 Drinkability: 4/5 Aroma left something to be desired, as did the taste to a certain extent. Very smooth, and the spices are delicious, but the beer beneath the flavorings tastes cheap. OVERALL: 6.5/10.0 Mendocino Eye of the Hawk Ale: 8.0% ABV Aroma: 4/5 Flavor: 4/5 Color: 4/5 Drinkability: 4/5 Nice aroma, and quite a nice beer aesthetically. Taste reminiscent of cappucino, and almost dangerously drinkable for its ABV - Nice filmy foam on glass, also. OVERALL: 8.0/10.0 Dos Equis Amber: 4.8% ABV Aroma: 2/5 Flavor: 3/5 Color: 4/5 Drinkability: 3/5 Very boring / atypical aroma and flavor. The latter is pleasant, yet unremarkable. Total meh. OVERALL: 6.0/10.0 Mendocino Black Hawk Stout: 5.2% ABV Aroma: 2/5 Flavor: 4/5 Color: 5/5 Drinkability: 3/5 It's less tasty than Eye of the Hawk, but it is gloriously dark and evil looking. Unremarkable aroma, but gloriously dark - and strangely less drinkable than Eye of the Hawk. OVERALL: 7.0/10.0 Erie Brewing Company Presque Isle Pilsner: 4.2% ABV Aroma: 2/5 Flavor: 4/5 Color: 4/5 Drinkability: 5/5 Very easily drinkable, light pilsner. Very pleasant flavor and superb drinkability; it's almost refreshing! A nice beer, but the aroma leaves much to be desired. OVERALL: 7.5/10.0 Tommyknocker Maple Brown Nut Ale: 4.6% ABV Aroma: 2/5 Flavor: 3/5 Color: 3/5 Drinkability: 3/5 A monumental disappointment. None of the flavors were distinct, and quite frankly, it was kind of a mess.
