Id recommend at least giving it a shot. If you can withstand Jack Daniels or relative whiskeys. Crown is certainly worth the chance. I understand the southern pride loyalty as well though. Us Texans are pretty particular to maintaining our pride as well.

I gotta ref little kids basketball games tomorrow morning so no drinking for me tonight.

but tomorrow I'll be drinking all day for the NFL games and then out to the bars... Somebody gimme some not super expensive suggestions for a 12 pack.

It's really pretty bad-tasting though. Drinkable. The best thing about it is the bars usually sell it insanely cheap.
