I drank this all last night, because I was so ****ing fascinated that Goldschlager is available outside the states. It tastes like fireball sweeties!
The novelty of it will wear off soon enough!
Definitely some good stuff here...knocked many a friend on their ass on a night out partying.

Not me though...my poison of choice is Patron. That is some damn wicked stuff.

Festive drinking day 2.
More Port, bottle of Cava, lager and the usual whiskey chasers.
Steady drinking all day since 10 a.m. (Cava with cheese omellette and Parma ham...it's only polite) and so far, so good.
Fears about the old liver beginning to grow though.
Tomorrow it's off to Castle Greyskull with a visit to the mother in law...more whiskey on the menu.

Tonight it'll either be more Oakanogan 1516 or Alexander Keith's pale ale, both incredible Canadian brews that I can't seem to get enough of.

Festive drinking day 3.

Returned safely with the kids from the clutches of Skeletor (mother in law) relatively unscathed.
Drinking steadily for most of the day, but the big let down was the promised whiskey.
I don't know what it is with the wife's dad, but every time he says "Youse like whiskey...I'll get some in for yer visit".
I hurriedly and purposely pre fix the word "whisky" with the words..."single malt" (emphasis on malt) in an annual and vain attempt to avoid what is fast becoming the inevitable.
It seems, to my father in law, that the translation of the phrase "single malt whiskey" is in fact, "Teachers".
Thankfully, there was a rather nice bottle of Southern Comfort available to compensate.

Tomorrow is the big test, as it's off to my eldest sisters house (a recovering alcoholic) for what will be the stiffest endurance drinking challenge this side of New Years Eve.

Wish me luck.

I had the same translation difficulties with my dad, some years ago, with regards to whiskey/single malt scotch.
After several attempts to convert him to the good stuff via my recommendations. I decided to buy him a bottle of single malt scotch for Christmas.
He thanked me and told me he had always enjoyed single malt scotch, but he never bought it for himself because he thought it was a bit too expensive.
Since that time, I have always had a bottle of single malt scotch in my stocking for Christmas!
Thanks Dad!
And Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to everyone here at Musicbanter!
(And good luck!)

It's a fascination/novelty for me right now!

I'm unsure wither we get Patron here or not. I might have a look next time I'm at the supermarket!
