Can't decide what to drink tonight. Not really in the mood for beer or hard liquor, but would like to get solidly drunk.

djchameleon 12-31-2016 05:44 AM

go searching for a good wine or stock up on loads of wine coolers.

grindy 12-31-2016 06:04 AM

Settled for this.
Never tried that brand, but all my friends seem to love it.

I could never stand gin. Not my kind of flavour.

He said he wanted to get drunk.

wine drunks are awesome, one minute you're sober and the next thing you know you can barely walk.

I dig the wine drunk. However, getting drunk on wine coolers is like dividing by zero. One minute you're sober, and the next thing you know you're still sober for the rest of the night.

It just takes way longer to get drunk but at least it tastes good.

That's dividing by one. Dividing by zero would mean one minute you're still sober, and the next thing you know you're in some blank void and your level of drunkenness cannot be determined.

Bob is rolling into town this weekend. Not sure if Bottle Logic is gonna outdue Hollingshead but we can do a little tour Bob. Check out the Brown Shugga on tap Christophe. I see a Belgian Tripel on tap that should intrigue Bob also.

Frownland 01-11-2017 09:50 AM

There's an alehouse with bombass burgers that has them on tap I think, I'll try to talk my parents into taking me. I remember once they had Undercovers in June (which is a few months after it's out of season, for those unaware) and I almost cried.

Strong ales tend to hold up better then IPA'S so a few months wouldn't hurt it. I've been drowning myself in Bottle Logic recently I love the actuator and the Recursion.

FRED HALE SR. 01-13-2017 09:53 AM

Didn't even realize Pliny was on tap. Bob check it out.

I managed to get lucky and score a growler of the Great Basin Brewing Co. Cerveza Chilebeso which is a light ale that was brewed with jalapenos and as a result has a nice spicy aftertaste.

Frownland 01-13-2017 11:12 AM

Nice! I've yet to have a jalapeño beer that is actually spicy as opposed to just having a jalapeño flavour.

LoathsomePete 01-13-2017 11:18 AM

It's not super spicy, but it's spicy enough that you can't down it in two or three gulps. Unfortunately it's out of season for retail purchase, but I was out at a Great Basin Brewery location last night with some friends and they still had a little for sale if you bought a growler, so I did.

I always wanted to try that one. Their twentieth anniversary ipa, also has jalapenos and juniper berries and is excellent. Bob turned me onto it in exchange.

LoathsomePete 01-13-2017 11:28 AM

I never really paid much attention to Great Basin beer because I had a really bad experience there one time a few years ago, but after last night I may have to make it a part of my weekend life.

If I could drink the 20th anniversary every night I would. Its outstanding. Nevada and Northern Cali, are moving up my list of places to visit regularly just for brew and the great outdoors.
